“Although I have experience with a wide variety of mental health concerns, I primarily work with children and adolescents. I utilize solution focused methods, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems theory, and play therapy techniques to treat the child as a whole, rather than just their behavioral needs. I help children and adolescents learn to regulate their emotions so that they are able to interact effectively with family members and peers at school while learning and growing.
I help children and adolescents primarily with anxiety management, learning and implementing effective coping skills, communication skills, and emotion regulation.
I am passionate about helping children and adolescents navigate through the difficulties of life. I am an advocate for children and adolescents along with their families to help them achieve what they are capable of.”
Mia is currently finishing her Master’s of Family Therapy at Medaille College and is being supervised by Maryellen Dance, LMHC to complete these hours.
